Papers, 1835-1904.

A collection of family papers, particularly of Joseph A. Lintner and his wife Francis. Included are correspondence, journals, account books, a common place book, scientific articles, family legal documents such as deeds, inventory's and wills and a scrapbook. Several items in the collection relate to George A. Lintner and his father Albert. These items include sermons and essays by George and an inventory of Albert's estate. A journal of George A. Lintner from 1839-1871 is also included.

Joseph A. Lintner graduated from Schoharie Academy in 1837 and relocated to New York, N.Y. In 1848 he moved back to Schoharie, N.Y. and married Francis C. Hutchinson, daughter of Holmes Hutchinson.
